RED, WHITE AND BLUE

I can't see pledging allegiance to a Pine Tree Flag, but that's what my forefather's did. They had no other, they were just getting started, so they lifted her up and bowed their heads.

I can't see pledging allegiance to a Rattlesnake Flag, but that's what my forefathers did. They flew her high; I guess they had struck a real blow for independence and wanted all to know when we strike it will be a deadly blow.

I can see pledging allegiance to Old Glory, all aglow. She is dressed in the red, white and blue we all know She has seen many changes over the years, since the first day she flew.

You see one time some tried to divide her up, take away that beautiful glow The things she stands for were just too strong, for her to let go. I pledge allegiance with great pride to a grand flag, with a tear in my eye. Each stripe, each star representing beatings taken, blood shed, but she came out with her head high.

This flag has seen many battles, heard men crying and bowed low for those who were dying. This flag's been protected, defended, kept high; never permitted to touch the ground and no other permitted to fly above her. This flag I love so much represents all my brothers  and sisters, no matter what race, creed, religion or color.
