GET BACK ON

Get back on the horse that throws you,

and restore your dented pride,

If the damn thing bucks you off again,

then you will never learn to ride.

Tis the greater fear which serves us,

determining what we do,

For if we think we are a coward,

we will never see it through.

I jumped off that frightening tower,

into the river far below,

Because my mates were there beside me,

and they all jumped you know.

The splash I found exciting,

as I sunk to the muddy bed,

And when I rose to the surface,

I realized I was not dead.
