Don’t Want to be Bothered
Don’t feel like talking
to nobody,
don’t want to
be bothered.
Don’t want to go to bed,
don’t want to get up
when I do.
Heart feels like lead.
Don’t feel like eating,
mumble answers to
greetings.
Don't want to
be bothered.
Can’t be bothered to
talk on the phone;
I want to be
left alone.
Don’t want to
be bothered.
Don’t feel like
brushing my teeth;
a whisper is like a
grating screech.
Don’t want to
be bothered.
Even getting up
to pee is a pain.
Don’t ever want
to walk in the
world again.
Don’t want to
be bothered.
Swirling, whirling,
sucked on down
in a whirlpool of
funk, about
to drown.
Just don’t want
to be bothered.
